Creamy Quinoa Porridge + Dark Chocolate Pecan Granola

Hello my loves! 

Long time no see, but I recently came back from my holidays and I was sent into full-stress mode since I, ehm, am moving out tomorrow. 

*Insert pic of me surrounded by lots of boxes, suitcases and projects I have to finish before tomorrow. Exciting projects. But still very exciting nonetheless*


Anyway! Can you guys believe that university starts on Monday?? Again??? And can you actually believe that this is going to be my fourth year???? AND – the most shocking part – can you believe that Narcos is back today and I’m not watching it as we speak?????

Well, that’s how busy I am.

Back to the university part: soon enough I’ll be buried under tons of homework, assigments, and the most dreadful university emails, and I will need a list of very healthy snacks and breakfast ideas to help me power through the day. Enter these beautiful bowls, featuring not only the most delicious quinoa porridge (guys, I’ve been missing out), but the crunchiest, most divine granola to ever be in my life.



Oh, and that granola is the bestest thing to pack in a bento/jar/tupperware/whatever and take to school/work with you. I haven’t tried it yet, because I’m still not back in the game, but I just feel it, u know.

This was the first time that I gave those quinoa flakes a go. Boy, are the good! I’m usually an oatmeal-or-nothing person, but I gotta say: life is good with quinoa flakes too!


In order to make things even more quinoa-ier (is that a word? no?), I used the new Ecomil quinoa milk. Its light, nutty flavour works so well with the rest of ingredients in the bowl, and I love how healthy it is! No allergens, no artificial sweeteners and no bad stuff. Give it a go if you haven’t yet!

Can we talk granola now? If there’s anything I love more than normal granola, it has to be the kind of granola you can make in a pan in less than five minutes. Because I’m lazy like that. And more free time means a higher chance to go see Narcos. Wink wink wink. I cannot wait. Wink wink wink. Post ends here because I have very important matters to take care of.

Creamy Quinoa Porridge + Dark Chocolate Pecan Granola


  • For the porridge:
  • 40 grams quinoa flakes
  • 10 grams chia seeds
  • 240 grams Ecomil quinoa almond milk
  • 20 grams coconut sugar
  • a pinch of cinnamon & vanilla
  • For the granola:
  • 120 grams rolled oats
  • 40 grams pecans
  • 50 grams maple syrup
  • 40 grams coconut oil
  • 50 grams coconut sugar


  1. For the porridge, whisk together quinoa flakes, sugar and chia seeds.
  2. Add in milk, cinnamon and vanilla and heat on low for 8-10 minutes, stirring often so it doesn't burn.
  3. To make the granola, whisk all of the ingredients in a bowl and sautee on medium heat for 5-7 minutes, stirring often so the oats don't burn.
  4. Enjoy!

    I am SO not looking forward to that pile of homework that I’ll have to face in two weeks! :'( I think that this stunning recipe will definitely get you through those days of lots of studying and hard work!
