Friday Favs #2

Hey everyone and welcome to the second edition of the Friday Favs series! I know I should have posted way more of these posts by now since it’s been weeks since I started the series, but you guys can imagine  how busy uni has kept me (uni = not a Friday fav for sure!)

friday favs

You can read a little disclaimer on my last Friday Favs post, but I will sum it up for you here: these are a series about the products/songs/shows/little things that have kept be obsessed for the past few days. Some of the products I got for free (but rest assured I love them!), some I bought myself, some I wish I could actually buy if my student budget allowed, and some, sadly, are not for sale. How bad is it that we cannot buy actors AH *heartbroken*

I hope you guys enjoy this week of favourites and don’t forget to name yours below!

friday favs: vegan hair products

Guysss I just went through my first bottle of this totally amazeballs hair mask by Lani and yes, I will have to confess that I cried a bit when it was over (then again who wouldn’t?). It makes my hair super soft and shiny, and my curls actually easy to untangle plus it smells like coconuts, beaches and all things tropical. 100/100 recommend! Also, just like the whole Lani range, this hair treatment is 100% cruelty free and made from natural ingredients (our saviour the coconut oil among them) so that’s another HUGE win!

Apparently the most beautiful blouse ever by Urban Outfitters: if only the boob life hadn’t chosen me, I would actually be able to wear something like this.

Another gorgeous lace-up top by Topshop that my gals prevent me from wearing. Ugh @ boobs.

These black mom jeans by Topshop are all that I want in life. Kidding ’cause I also want an unlimited supply of medjool dates, peanut butter and a personal Jon Snow living with me. But yeah, these jeans are lit.

This lace dress by Topshop (pls guys sponsor me hahahaha what a dream). My obsession with lace is getting serious it seems.

This bomber jacket by New Look. The day when I learned that sateen was vegan was such a happy one (not for my bank account tho)

What’s MeWe? Have you guys heard from it yet?

To sum it up, MeWe is a new app/social media which I’d describe as a mix of Facebook, Instagram, Whatsapp and a good ol’ forum.

I’ve been trying it out for the past week and I must say I quite like it how I’m the one who control what I can see and what goes in it. I guess it’s like a version of Facebook without all the annoying ads and weird algorithms or something? It works great for posting pics like you would on Instagram and also to write articles and posts blog-style but in an easier way (fellow bloggers now how long it takes to put together a blog post!). I for sure won’t be giving up my Insta or blog soon, but I adore how much easier to use MeWe is in that regard.

Another of the features I reckon I will adore is the fact that you can start debates on it! I’m thinking it would work wonders as a vegan forum where people can share their advice and experiences and also comment on things they like. The only thing I would need is for you guys to join the group because there’s no point on starting a debate on my own hahaha 😉

If you guys would like to join my group and check out some exclusive tips an article (such as the one on how to make an Instagram-worthy Buddha Bowl!), click this link and follow the instructions:

Can’t wait to see you around!

The only reason which stops me from having a flat full of cookbooks is the fact that I don’t read in Spanish and I cann’t get the fancy English ones unless I get out of the country because boy, do I love them!!

Although you bet that anytime I travel outside Spain, I go back home with a suitcase full of them, exceeding the weight limit and having to wear all the things I carry. So worth it though!

I own quite a few of books, but it’s safe to say that these two are actually my fave. Gorgeous photography, typography, styling and recipes to die for! If you’re thinking about getting new cookbooks, I’d say you need to check these out asap.

friday favs

The first one I want to share is this one by Ella Woodward, full of incredibly easy recipes and tips to lead a healthy life. All of Ella’s recipes are downright incredible and she seems to be such a sweet girl as well. Can’t wait to get my hands on her new one!

This other book, from David and Stephen from The Happy Pear has to be one of the best books ever published! I couldn’t be any more in love with the gorgeous photography and delicious recipes, I’m telling you. Actually I did have the chance of meeting them both aand the The Happy Pear team (which is hand down my favourite restaurant ever! I think I have told you about before haha) during one of my trips to Ireland and it makes me so glad to see people so passionate about what they do (and heck yeah, all the cakes on display also make me super happy!)

The happy pear cookbook looks lovely! I definitely need to get that soon. One of my Friday favs is Natural World argan oil conditioner – it makes my hair so soft it’s incredible! And I have to agree about the endless supply of medjool dates. That would be heaven.

That sounds like a lovely conditioner! I’m going to check that out for sure hehe. And yep!! That book is probably my fav ever! xx

I love Deliciously Ella too! She’s one of my biggest blogging inspirations. Friday favorites are amazing because you can exchange so much and bond over different interests! I would love to look more into sustainable and natural hair care, skin care and makeup. I even make my own out of browned avocados, honey, coconut oil and egg yolks!
