Skinny Strawberry White Chocolate Glazed Donuts
Girls don’t want diamonds, flowers or chocolate boxes, girls want a dozen of these pretty pinky mini-donuts with an extra dose of sprinkles thankyouverymuch.
Although I don’t think I’d say no to the chocolate box. Or the flowers.
But not the diamonds. Do you know how the line goes? Something like “I’d rather wear flowers in my head than diamonds around my neck”. More like “I’d rather have some pinky donuts in my mouth than diamonds around my neck” <<< Who wouldn’t, though?
These mini donuts are the way to a girl’s heart. Cute, delicious, pink, sprinkle-laden and skinny – which girl can resist them? #notme.
Chances are high that if you bring me these donuts, grow a beard and buy me concert tickets, I’ll want to marry you. Extra bonus points if your name is Jon Snow.
But less talking about moi and more talking about the actual donuts, which is what we’re all here for. These donuts are the mini bomb. Fluffy, tender, sweet and covered in a sticky strawberry white chocolate glaze – I’d tell you that it doesn’t get any better, but thing is it does. Not only are these donuts adorable, but also good for you! Greek yogurt is involved to add in some extra protein, and I cut down on the sugar too, but you wouldn’t tell!
I used my old flawless recipe for all things cake and muffin like, which is the one I turn to when I need my baked goods to turn extra fluffy and healthy at the same time. Wanna hear a secret? Yes? Here it goes: I intended to make these donuts soooooo much lighter for you. Read: whole wheat, less oil, more yogurt, less sugar, etc, I think you get the idea.
BUT boy, did they turned out hideous. They didn’t resemble donuts but throwing weapons instead, so I resolved to make another batch.
Spoiler: I failed miserably. Got another batch of those throwing weapons again. Cool thing if I ever want to have an army, but not so nice if what I want is send myself to donut heaven.
I pretty much spent the whole day making donuts nonstop. For the sake of the recipe, you know…. not because I wanted to eat nothing but donuts the whole day…….
Aaaanyway. I eventually gave in and used my no-fail recipe, which is indeed not so light as I initially intended it too, but hey, they taste awesome and they’re still on the healthy side!!
Now, let’s talk glaze. This one is ever sooo easy that it’ll make you want to laugh at me. Just greek yogurt + white chocolate. Boom. Magic. There you have the perfect pinky sticky glaze, now bring on the sprinkles!!!
I used some of the white chocolate that the folks at Chocolates Torras sent to me. They make the best sugar free chocolates I’ve ever tried. No artificial taste, no nasty sweeteners (they have a stevia sweetened line which is the bomb!) and the price is fantastic too. If you’re into sugar-free baking, follow a low-carb diet or suffer from diabetes, I recommend you to check out this brand. They now ship worldwide!
And do you see the sprinkles I covered the donuts with? It’s white chocolate strawberry morsels and yes, they’re every bit as awesome as they sound. And also sugar-free. And I also want to marry them.
Don’t look at me like that. If you tried those sprinkles, you’d ask them out too.
- 155 grams unbleached white flour
- 75gr. sugar
- a pinch of cinnamon
- a pinch of salt
- 8 gr. baking powder
- 1 large egg
- 3 tbsp. low fat buttermilk
- 30 gr. oil
- 125 grams 2% greek yogurt
- 250 grams strawberry greek yogurt
- 75 grams sugar-free white chocolate
- Whisk all of the dry ingredients in a bowl.
- Stir in wet ones and mix until combined.
- Spoon batter into a donut pan.
- Bake at 180ºC (375F) for 12-15 minutes (this depends on the size of the donuts)
- Let them cool before you glaze them.
- Melt white chocolate on low heat carefully so it doesn't burn.
- Stir in greek yogurt and mix until smooth.
I hope you guys listen to my advice and put these donuts in your life. They’re guaranteed to make your Mondays 200% better.

I too would much “rather have some pinky donuts in my mouth than diamonds around my neck” – these look fantastic Consuelo! Thanks so much for trying to make a lighter version – all I can say is keep trying you never know when you will hit gold – or white chocolate strawberry morsels that Chocolates Torras sent you! Wow – it’s amazing that these are sugarfree…my mom is diabetic so I gotta look into this company!
Donuts are definitely the way to my heart..love these!
I’m pretty sure I could eat a dozen of these cute little donuts all by myself! I hope you had a great weekend, Consuelo!
How about a donut necklace so you could eat them throughout the day whenever you want? You’re sure right about the donuts…a girl needs them and these look delicious!
These are the cutest little doughnuts and they look and sound amazing!
Yum, these little babies look delicious! I love their mini size. I’m sure I could devour a whole pan of these by myself 😀
These mini doughnuts are the cutest! I’d take these over flowers any day!! Love the Greek yogurt twist too. 🙂
I have to try these, they are so darn cute! I so love them! Happy Monday friend! xoxo
How cute! Your mini doughnut pan is making me so so happy 🙂 Yum!
Strawberry glazed donuts were always my favorite as a kid! I’d always ask for one as a weekend treat 🙂 These look delicious!
I would take these pink donuts any day over diamonds. Diamonds don’t bring me as much joy as white chocolate and strawberries.
Yup I’ll take these any day over flowers!! I could eat a dozen. They are so pretty!
I do love my diamond engagement ring, but I’d take these donuts over most other diamonds! And over flowers. And presents. Basically, give me donuts or give me death.
I think you’re right – I’d take these donuts over diamonds any day! Eh – diamonds…they’re all the same – but these donuts? Perfection!
Do you believe I’ve never made one single donut in my life?!! You made it looks so easy to make. I love it 😉
Those donuts. Those pictures. Could I hire you pleaaaaase to cater my life?!
this simple glaze has made my day, SO easy to recreate!!! loving the pics here Consuelo, so colorful and fun!
Yeah, who cares about diamonds when you can have these donuts! I’m serious. I love this recipe, it must have all ingredients it has. I often try to make healthyfied cakes and most of the times it doesn’t work. You made a glaze with white chocolate and yogurt: what a cool idea!
Oh so cute! Love that you paired the strawberry with white chocolate. Bring on the donuts!
Your writing is so hilarious! Another great recipe and beautiful styling. Love this post 🙂
These donuts are the prettiest princesses on the block! I’m going to pin the heck out of these just so I can stare at the sprinkles!
How pretty! My daughter is looking over my shoulder right now begging me to make them for her.
These little donuts have stolen my heart! A girl’s best friend for sure!
I am dead over these donuts. I want to marry them. Don’t tell the huberoni.
Seriously, these look SO DELISH girlfriend, and almost too cute to eat.
Only almost though 😉 Pinned!
Oooh these look so good. Why am I eating granola and yogurt for breakfast when I really should be eating these!?! And that glaze is genius! I must find sugar-free (and artificial sweetener-free) white chocolate. Love those decorations, too! 🙂
OMG! These look incredible! I can’t wait to try them! And the recipe seems pretty healthy 😀 Btw, is it possible to replace the flour with whole-wheat flour or at least part of it? Thanks!!
Mine turned out a bit dense when I used ww so……..
Thank ou though, dear! xxx
Hey, speak for yourself, this girl definitely wants chocolate boxes. 🙂 But not because I’m a girl…just because I’m a sucker for chocolate. I also want a bunch of these doughnuts, too, and maybe an extra batch for later because they look so good. 😉
Love ém.
I hate when I have to keep making a recipe to get it right. But it also makes me 10x happier as I’m eating it. 🙂
Looks like you scored with this one! 🙂
Baby donuts!! These look amazing and not “skinny” at all, which makes me want to try them all the more! I must be an outsider because I’d never turn down a diamond! 😉 I would say a diamond with these donuts would be perfect!
Consuelo:

Muchas gracias jajajaja 🙂
Felicidades Consuelo!!!!
Disfruta y pásatelo genial!. 🙂
Gracias 😀
These are the prettiest donuts I’ve ever seen and yes I’d totally want to marry them too! Love strawberry and white chocolate and I would not be able to resist with all the pretty sprinkles. Sorry that you had to keep remaking them though – I would gladly take the batches that didn’t work out…you know for recipe testing purposes 🙂
