Butterscotch Cheesecake Flan

These flans. I might or might not have spent the past 2 hours trying to decide whether to call them “cheesecake flans” “cheesecake crème caramels” or “flan de queso”, as it’d be in Spanish, since this one is a pretty popular dessert over here.

Butterscotch Cheesecake Flan - an easy, healthy and delicious dessert!

Who cares, all I know is that these little guys are one of the very best desserts that I have ever made. Pinky promise and everything!

((You know I’m serious when pinky promises are involved. But I never lie when it comes to cheesecake. Or flan. Or butterscotch anything))

All of my dessert favorites in one fuss-free, rather healthy, darling dessert. Follow me over to my sweet friend Alyssa‘s blog where I’m guest posting today for more pictures and this lovely recipe.

I think you should have labeled them with the Spanish name, it sounds so much cooler and exotic.
Either way, these flans look so good you can’t really go wrong with them. Great recipe!

Does it? 😉 I guess it’s just that I really like the word “cheesecake” haha. Thanks! xx

In the UK they call it a creme caramel but it is pretty boring compared to the Brazilian version aka pudim, they make it with milk while we make with condensed milk. It takes it to a new league. Your caramel looks so dark and welcoming.

    • Reply Consuelo July 4, 2014 at 4:38 pm

Oooh that sounds delicious, Mariana! Thank you!

  • Reply Joanne July 4, 2014 at 3:07 pm
