Creamy Salmon & Asparagus Tagliatelle

The past week was one of the most hectic of my life, I tell you. How I’ve got to get trough it, I don’t know. But I guess it has something to do with these Coconut Mocha Energy Bars and like 4 jars of homemade nutella that I made and ate in like the last two days… It was that good, I tell you. Normally, I’m not a big fan of homemade nutella, because I’d never got it to taste decent, but I finally found the perfect recipe!! Which I cannot wait to share with you all… I’d be nice if I was able to stop myself from eating the whole jar before I’ve taken some pictures, you know.

But I’m not.

That stuff is heavely I tell you. It is probably the only thing that made me survive last week. Though I think I’ll need like 34 jars more, because I have like 10 exams more until Christmas (!!!!!!!) and that will make this girl cry, oh well.

But this is not a post about sad stuff (ahem exams and school life), but a post about Creamy Tagliatelle with Salmon, Asparagus and Mushrooms… pure awesomeness in a plate, trust me.
*Sighs* I have this problem where I don’t know how to spell most of pasta names like you know, spaghetti, tagliatelle, papardelle and the kind… And ain’t no gonna google them. Life’s too short to spend one’s time googling how to spell tagliatelle properly.

Oh well, I actually just did it.

How did you expect me to go to bed and actually sleep not knowing how to spell tagliatelle? I’m a maniac I tell you.

Back to the tagliatelle. Tagliatelle. TAGLIATELLE. It sounds so weird, doesn’t it? What’s wrong with people naming pasta shapes… Why can’t they make life easier for me? Is it that hard to choose a normal name? Apparently it is.
Back to this pasta stuff. Let me tell you that you need this in your life: It’s fancy, it looks elegant and sounds sophisticated, it can be made under 30 minutes and it’s quite healthy as well. And obviously it is a delicious pasta dish, but I guess you could tell by the name, huh?

Quick dinners are my fave. Nevermind the fact that I actually spend longer than an hour trying to get decent shots… Scrumptious as it was, it didn’t want to cooperate and look pretty in the plate :(( You’ll have to believe what I’m saying, because I admit that the dish itself doesn’t look as appetising as it gets!

But mum loved it so so much. If you ever see somethig in this blog featuring salmon and asparagus, know that mum probably hoarded it and kept it all to her self, because oh well, those two things are her favorite foods ever.
And can you imagine what happens when mum is happy??

We. Put. Up. The. Christmas. Tree.

I’ll share some pics next week, since now I’m having lots of trouble with my sd camera card, ok? Ok.

Salmon is a great choice – excellent brain food for all your exams! I love this and all those pastas you mentioned (the hard to spell ones) are among my very favorites. It’s mouthwatering! And now you’ve really got me curious about the homemade Nutella. I have never tried making it because I feel like I wouldn’t get it to the smooth consistency my family (well, my son…) likes. I’m glad you found a great recipe…please share soon when you have time! : )

So you may remember I told you that I’m a weirdo who is scared of eating seafood? But I have been experimenting with salmon recipes, enjoying it more and more – and this sounds like the perfect recipe for me to try next. Plenty of other flavours and textures going on, it really does sound amazing!

    • Reply Consuelo December 2, 2013 at 11:01 pm

Yeah I do! I hope you love it if you try it, Aimee 🙂

Haha, I HEAR YOU about the pasta names. I recently made a recipe with orriechette (that’s not spelled right), and I had to look up how to spell it every damn time I typed it. I still don’t know how to spell it, obviously. GAhhhh!

On a happier note, I really love this dish. I know sundried tomatoes might not be the coolest food these days, but I still love them!

    • Reply Consuelo December 4, 2013 at 6:14 pm

Orriechette?? That sounds so weird haha!
I love them too and I’m glad you like it! Thanks Lori! 🙂
